New Zombieland: Double Tap Featurette Gives Us a BTS Look

It's been ten years, but we're finally getting a sequel to the 2009 hit Zombieland. Zombieland: Double Tap is set to come out in a month, and Sony has released a new trailer for the film which gives us a look behind the scenes.

While we do get a refresher on the main characters of the first film, we also get to meet the new characters played by Zoey Deutch (Madison), Rosario Dawson (Nevada), and Thomas Middleditch (Flagstaff). There are still other characters that don't get as much coverage, but I guess they have to keep some things under wraps until the movie comes out.

With Zombieland coming out such a long time ago, I'm sure there are some fans who are worried that this sequel is coming out a little too late. If anything, the first film is still a solid movie on its own, and it's great that Double Tap was able to keep a lot of the original crew on board, including director Ruben Fleischer as well as writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

A decade after Zombieland became a hit film and a cult classic, the lead cast (Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone) have reunited with director Ruben Fleischer (Venom) and the original writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool) for Zombieland: Double Tap. In the sequel, written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Dave Callaham, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, these four slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.

Catch Zombieland: Double Tap in theaters Oct. 18.
