New Wonder Woman Villain Role Hinted for Elena Anaya

There have only been snippets revealed for Wonder Woman as far as development is concerned. Now a new interview with Spanish actress Elena Anaya (The Skin I live In) revealed how her role will affect Wonder Woman.

In an interview with Spanish website SensaCine (translated by Batman-News), Anaya revealed that the weird mask seen in the first trailer was a foreboding scene for something more villainous.

"Well, it was a small role in this big ensemble, but it is an important character in the story. It's directed by Patty Jenkins, then there's Gal Gadot as our main lead, Chris Pine as her co-lead and I'm going to be… a big nightmare for the two of them."

Anaya did not reveal her role, but fans are already speculating that it may be Doctor Poison, who also wears a mask in the comics. Her fictional biography connects her as Princess Maru, who had become a leader of a Nazi spy ring bent on bringing hell to the U.S. Army.

Considering the little bit that we know so far about Wonder Woman and its World War I setting, this doesn't sound at all impossible.

In the meantime, check out Anaya's brief stint in the Wonder Woman Comic-Con trailer below. Think a Doctor Poison role is a good fit?
