New Trailer for Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures is Fantastically Anime-Inspired

Move over, Forces of Destiny because there's a new Star Wars show in town! Lucasfilm has just dropped their new trailer for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and the animation looks fantastic.

Here's the official description:

Join Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Yoda, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and more in Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures, a new series of animated shorts celebrating the galaxy far, far away!

We don't have that much info on the show specifically, but based on what we see, it looks like the series is going to be animating some choice moments in the Star Wars films and giving them their own anime-esque twist.

Before you go on complaining about all the slapstick in the trailer, just remember that this is supposed to be for kids, so bring any of your ‘Star Wars isn't supposed to be funny' mentality out of the door. That being said, the animation looks loads better than Forces of Destiny, and I can't wait to watch a full episode once it comes out.

Before Star Wars Resistance came out, there was talk that it was going to be anime-inspired, but I never really got that feeling once it premiered. Looking at Galaxy of Adventures though, I'm starting to think the anime-inspired description kind of got lost in translation when the show was announced.

Either way, I'm always up for more Star Wars, and besides some entertaining shorts for the kids, I think the older fans who just appreciate quality animation will be into this as well.

Catch Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures when it comes out Nov. 30 on the Star Wars Kids Youtube channel.
