Fans have been wondering for the past few weeks about when is Marvel Studios finally going to release the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder. After all, we're now just less than 90 days away before its scheduled release date and it's unprecedented in the MCU to not show any first-look footage around this time prior to the release. Now, a new leak has surfaced which suggests that we might finally get to see the trailer very, very soon.
According to the Brazilian website Chippu, the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder might finally get released this coming Monday, April 18. However, this has not been confirmed by Marvel so we have to take this with a grain of salt for now although the site has been mostly reputable when it comes to posting scoops such as this. The editor-in-chief has also gone to Reddit to iterate that they heard that it is Marvel's plan at the moment and there's also the possibility that it could change.
Adding to the speculation is the recent Instagram story post by Chris Hemsworth's Hindi voice actor Gaurav Chopraa, who revealed that he has finished recording his lines for the Indian version of the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer. Here's the screenshot of his Instagram story:
Now that we know that the trailer is currently being worked on and perhaps in the final stage before release, there is a chance that the alleged April 18 date might be true. After all, that is just less than a week away which is a great time for the people who are making the trailer to do some finishing touches especially since the local dubbers around the world have already finished recording.
Obviously, we will never know if this information is true until we finally reach that day and anticipate the trailer release. It's hard to tell right now if April 18 will be the actual date, but this evidence is giving us a reason to at least be cautiously optimistic about it. After all, given the days left before its theatrical release, Marvel should release a trailer very, very soon especially now that they have started gearing up their marketing campaign.
