The Witcher Season 2 is coming this December and we're getting awesome new updates on the show's next season. A new poster has just been dropped and this time, it features Ciri preparing for action.
The official Witcher Twitter account has been sharing new posters for Season 2. The first one focused on Henry Cavill's Geralt of Rivia while the second one featured Anya Chalotra's Yennefer of Vengenberg. The latest one is all about Freya Allan's young princess wielding a sword and getting ready for a fight. Check it out below.
It's great to see more of Ciri as a budding warrior and it's something we have already been looking forward to since the second season was announced. Now that Geralt is taking her to Kaer Morhen, Ciri is expected to begin her training and we've seen that in the previous photos from the Season 2 set. With that in mind, we can't wait to finally see Ciri learning to defend herself and joining a fight in The Witcher.
Ciri is not the only one who is getting some major developments in The Witcher Season 2. Geralt will also start to realize the need to protect the young princess has a lot to do with paternal instincts. In addition to that, we'll finally get to learn what happened to Yennefer after the first season's climactic battle.
The official synopsis for The Witcher Season 2 reads as follows:
"Convinced Yennefer's life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent's kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside."
The Witcher Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on December 17, 2021.
