In just a couple of months, the highly-anticipated The Marvels will finally arrive in theaters. Not only it will serve as a sequel to Captain Marvel, but it will also be a team-up film between Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau.

For the past few months, we've already seen a lot of promotional materials surrounding the film including the first trailer that gave us our first full look at what they have in store for the next MCU joint.

Now, as we're getting closer to its release this fall, we finally have another full look at the film and, this time around, it spotlights the antagonist that the three heroes will face.

Zawe Ashton's Dar-Benn Takes the Spotlight on the New The Marvels Trailer

Marvel Studios has released the second trailer for The Marvels which gave us more peek at the titular team's action-packed adventure and a full look at the main villain Dar-Benn, played by Zawe Ashton.

Unlike the first trailer, the new one gave us a main idea about what the story is all about and the conflict that the three heroes will also face. We also learned that Dar-Benn has some gripes with Danvers although it remains to be seen why she has an animosity to her.

The trailer also showed us a glimpse into the dynamic of the three heroes as they become an unlikely team throughout the intergalactic area of the MCU and it looks like Dar-Been is also responsible for why the three heroes are forced to work together.

"Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence," the synopsis reads. "But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe."

"When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol's estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau."

The synopsis continues, "Together, this unlikely trio must team-up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."

Aside from Ashton, the cast also includes Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Gary Lewis, Park Seo-joon, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson. Nia DaCosta directed the film.
