New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Figures Give Fans Their First Look At Baby Porgs

Earlier this month, Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy inadvertently let fans know that Star Wars: The Last Jedi was doing more than bring Porgs into the Star Wars franchise – the movie was also bringing in some baby Porgs too.

Fans were initially wary of the curious little Ahch-To residents after Lucasfilm announced the Porgs arrival in the Star Wars franchise earlier this year – everyone was worried that the Porgs would end up being like the Ewoks in the original trilogy.

However, it seems like almost everyone's warmed up to the Porgs after seeing one squawk like crazy in the Millenium Falcon with Chewie in the first full trailer for The Last Jedi and now a new report by Star Wars News Net gives fans their first look at the baby Porgs Kennedy mentioned last week.

Originally posted on a Japanese website, the baby Porgs come along with a set of new figurines set to roll out as prizes in "amusement events" in Japan.

Take a look at the baby Porgs down here:

Shaped like a set of eggs in a nest with strange faces, the baby Porgs don't seem at all like the floofs that everyone's been expecting, but that just might very well be because of the design of the figures. They just might be cuter than this.

The Porgs make their first big screen debut when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
