Earlier this week, a new Star Wars game was leaked, titled Star Wars: Project Maverick. There's very little information revealed about the game but ever since it surfaced, more details have already gone around.
After it was leaked by the PlayStation Store in Europe, a listing was shared by the developer of the bot which let the fans look at the database file of the new game. It looks like EA is planning on releasing a beta for the title with the addition of multiplayer.
The PlayStation VR support is listed as "no," which means it'll be a traditional gaming experience. In addition, the Play Together parameter suggests it has a multiplayer, listed at 5. Kotaku's Jason Schreier claims this is the new Star Wars game from EA Motive, which he says is a small and unusual experience. Although this should be taken with a grain of salt, Schreier is seen as a reliable source.
While there's no telling when the game will be officially released, the beta listing suggests that Project Maverick could drop sooner than expected. For now, those are the said details about the upcoming game. In the meantime, fans could wait by checking out some of the existing Star Wars games, including Jedi: Fallen Order and Battlefront II. These are both available on PSA, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
