Star Wars Composer Kevin Kiner Opens Up About Returning To The Clone Wars

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is finally airing its seventh season on Disney+, and Star Wars fans are celebrating the return of the critically-acclaimed Star Wars animated series.

The series' last batch of episodes aired way back in 2014, giving The Clone Wars a six year gap between its sixth and seventh season. Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com,Star Wars series music composer Kevin Kiner opens up about his return to The Clone Wars and what's changed since the last batch of episodes aired in 2014.

While The Clone Wars six year gap has been a source of frustration for Star Wars fans, those behind the creation of the series find it pretty convenient that time has produced better technology to improve the quality of the series.

"Oh, it's extremely gratifying," Kiner tells the entertainment news outlet after being asked what it felt like being able to return to The Clone Wars, "For one thing, to be able to finish a story that never really got finished, with Clone Wars. The other thing that was cool was that there had been five years that had gone by and a lot of things had changed. Technology had changed for the picture. I think season seven looks better than any of the other seasons."

Kiner says that he tried his best to keep the seventh season of The Clone Wars modern and fresh, using a bit of synthesizer and electronic music in the last batch of episodes of the series. The composer put into mind the journey of the characters in The Clone Wars, taking note of Ahsoka and her decision to leave the Jedi, as well as Darth Maul's looming presence in the series.
