New Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Trailer Hypes Up the TNG Crew's Final Voyage


Paramount+ has released the new trailer for the third and final season of Star Trek: Picard ahead of its premiere in just a couple of weeks. The new sneak peek gave us a brand new look at the highly-anticipated reunion of The Next Generation cast as they found themselves once again in a huge conflict involving Starfleet.

They also confirmed that Outlander star Ed Speleers is joining the season in a series regular role as a mysterious character who aids Beverly Crusher’s medical efforts on worlds Starfleet has forgotten. 12 Monkeys star Todd Stashwick is also set to appear in a recurring role as captain of the U.S.S. Titan.

Based on this new footage, it looks like the final season will be action-packed and deliver the promise of making a satisfying conclusion of The Next Generation crew's journey in the final frontier just like what The Undiscovered Country did to The Original Series crew. This is certainly going to be a special treat for fans of the franchise, especially as they're on their final voyage.

The final's season synopsis reads: "A desperate message from a long-lost friend draws Starfleet legend Admiral Jean-Luc Picard into the most daring mission of his life, forcing him to recruit allies spanning generations old and new. This final adventure sets him on a collision course with the legacy of his past and explosive, new revelations that will alter the fate of the Federation forever."

The cast includes Patrick Stwart, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, and Michelle Hurd. Terry Matalas serves as the sole showrunner for the final installment.
