New Moon Knight Teaser Poster Shows Mr. Knight’s Costume

The latest teaser poster for Marvel’s Moon Knight series features Mr. Knight. The teaser poster teases Mr. Knight’s look, a white-on-white suit with a white mask, rather than a hood and a cape. A superhero has more than one look for different kinds of mission isn’t unusual, but given Moon Knight’s nature, a lot of fans see any new facet of him as a potential pointing to a manifestation of his dissociative personality disorder, an aspect of Marc Spector that the comic often tackles.

Marvel’s Moon Knight series seems to be following in the footsteps of other Marvel series like Hawkeye and WandaVision, which dealt with the emotional and cultural ramifications of living in a world with superheroes. This approach has allowed Marvel to comment on the nature of some of the superhero stories, without reveling too much in nihilism the way other comic books like The Boys do.

Moon Knight’s “Mr. Knight” variant first made its debut in the acclaimed 2014 comic run onMoon Knight by Warren Ellis and Declan Shalvey. You can check the teaser poster below.

In a recent interview with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, he talks about the character being brutal. "He's brutal… It's been fun to work with Disney+ and see. the boundaries shifting on what we're able to do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, 'We're gonna pull back on this right?' No. We're not pulling back. There's a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight."

Moon Knight series follows the story of Steven Grant, a gift-shop employee who becomes plagued with various blackouts and memories of another life. Steven then discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with a mercenary named Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies face them, they must work on their complex identities while thrown into a deadly mystery among the gods of Egypt.

Marvel’s Moon Knight series will debut on Disney+ on March 30.
