Lycoris Recoil’s promotion continues as it is one of the Summer 2022 season’s biggest hits. The latest promo for the show is a new Lycoris Recoil key visual that seemingly reveals Chisato and Takina’s fate.
Recently, a new key visual for the anime was released on the anime’s official Twitter account. This Lycoris Recoil visual features Chisato and Takina, as well as the rest of the show’s supporting cast.

The visual is a beautiful collection of the show’s main characters, but it seems that it might have also revealed the fate of the two main characters.
In the Twitter thread for the visual, several fans have noted that Chisato is drawn with a pattern of lycoris radiata or red spider lilies. In case you’re unfamiliar, red spider lilies are associated with death in some cultures.
Because of this, fans are worried that this is a death flag for Chisato. It also aligns with the events of the latest episode where Chisato’s life is in danger.
Fans on Reddit are also thinking the same thing. In a discussion thread, some fans have noted that Chisato has the flower pattern while Takina does not, possibly indicating that Chisato may die but not Takina.
While lots of fans interpret this as a death flag, some are also speculating that Chisato will lose her memories instead.
Lycoris Recoil (also called LycoReco by fans) is an original anime series by A-1 Pictures that’s directed by Shingo Adachi and written by Asaura. The show’s voice cast includes Chika Anzai as Chisato Nishikigi and Shion Wakayama as Takina Inoue.
The series is set in an alternate version of Japan that’s kept safe by “Lycoris,” an all-female group of spies and assassins who take down criminals and terrorists quietly to the point that the public is unaware of their existence.
The story follows Takina, a Lycoris agent who, after disobeying direct orders, is reprimanded and demoted. She is assigned to work under Takina, an unusual Lycoris agent who works in an undercover café called LycoReco.
While Takina is a serious and strait-laced agent, Chisato is more carefree. But underneath Chisato’s easygoing nature is an incredibly powerful agent who is considered the best Lycoris agent.
