No question about it, The Lego Movie was a great time for anyone who saw it, thanks to plenty of great jokes and a surprisingly heartfelt message. Because of this, fans are excited and a bit anxious about the sequel, Lego Movie 2, which looks to be a parody of Mad Max that will also deal with all of the fallout from the first film's end.
One character who will be returning is Batman, or should we say, Lego Batman. Voiced by Will Arnett of Bojack Horseman fame, this iteration of the character was so popular that he ended up getting his own spin-off film that was better than most of the DCEU. Now he's back and he has wheelie changed up his outfit.
Yeah, Lego Batman now has giant wheels in his shoulders as a replacement for, we're going to go with, shoulder pads? It's an interesting look and should provide some laughs from us fans, just don't expect to see it in a comic book anytime soon. Unless it's about Lego Batman.
Considering how popular he was in the first film, expect Lego Batman to have a number of show-stealing scenes in the sequel. Then again, it's going to be hard topping his hilarious mixtape for Wildstyle, which has "darkness" and "dead parents" in the lyrics. It will be fun seeing them try though.
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part comes to theaters on February 8, 2019.
