We're only two weeks away from the premiere of Cowboy Bebop and fans are already hyped up for the live-action series adaptation. Interestingly, Netflix has a great way to keep the hype going. A new poster for the show has just been dropped and it puts the focus on the Bebop's main trio.
The new poster was shared by the official Cowboy Bebop Twitter account to remind fans that the show will be out in two weeks. The poster shows Spike Spiegel and Jet Black ready for action while Faye Valentine shows off her hot pants. Check it out below.
We're loving the aesthetic of the new poster although it appears to be worlds away from the anime. Still, it's a great way to get people excited for the upcoming Netflix series.
It's a great poster but fans were quick to point out that it's missing one important element. People have always loved Ein the Data Dog but the Welsh Corgi is nowhere to be found in the poster. However, there is a possibility we'll be seeing more of Ein (and his BFF Ed) when the show finally premieres later this month.
It has already been confirmed that the new show will not be an actual adaptation of the original anime. However, the trailer has suggested that we will be seeing some familiar Cowboy Bebop characters in the series. For instance, Spike is shown facing off against Abdul Hakim, the bounty head who takes Ein in the anime's second episode. In addition to that, Mad Pierrot Tongpu is shown looking a lot slimmer than we remember him in the original show.
Cowboy Bebop will star John Cho as Spike Spiegel, Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black, Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine, Alex Hassell as Vicious, and Elena Satine as Julia. The series premieres on Netflix on November 19, 2021.
