New Bioshock Game Rumored to be Coming in 2020

We thought that the Bioshock franchise had ended with Infinite back in 2013, but it looks like we could be getting more of the world come next year. It's possible that Take-Two Interactive, owners of Bioshock publisher 2K Games, is gearing up for some kind of big reveal soon.

According to game analyst Michael Pachter, we could be looking at a new Bioshock coming out in 2020. He tells Games Industry:

"We will get major game announcements from Take-Two. I think we'll hear about a new Bioshock game and a new title from Rockstar, both for 2020. It would be cheating to say that the company will announce Borderlands since it will probably happen before this article is published."

I think Bioshock is a franchise that absolutely shines with world-building, that's why Infinite did so much better compared to the Bioshock 2. If a new Bioshock were to happen, I would prefer if we get some insane new story that explored some cool political idea. The first game dealt with Ayn Rand and Objectivism and Infinite had us subject to the exact opposite by trapping us in a theocracy. A third game should bring us to a fresh new world complete with crazy ideas come to life.

Of course, it's possible that there isn't even a new Bioshock game coming at all. But the title is very popular, and a new game is sure to turn heads. Who wouldn't want to jump in on another entry to the franchise?

A fourth Bioshock has not been officially announced, but if you want something that's kind of the same, I suggest you check out Close to the Sun.
