Announcement Trailer for Close to the Sun Looks A LOT Like A Bioshock Game

There have been rumbling about some kind of Bioshock announcement coming this week, and Wired Productions has released this announcement trailer for their game called Close to the Sun. What's interesting is, it looks like some kind of sequel to Bioshock what with the old-timey setting plus the powers.

You'll notice that the aesthetics are pretty close to the first Bioshock as well, what with the cryptic message on the walls and the puzzle solving. Even the logo for the game looks the same, and we have some kind of ‘shock' effect with the electricity coursing through it.

The similarities don't even stop with the visuals either. Here's the official description:

Close to the Sun is a horror game that takes place at the end of 19th century on a mysterious ship complex created by Nikola Tesla for the sake of knowledge.

In this alternative version of history, his scientific breakthroughs have already had a major impact on the world.

You're Rose, a young journalist looking for your sister and, as you approach this enormous and glorious complex for the first time, you quickly realize that something there has gone wrong …

With Bioshock dealing with alternate realities and hidden cities, Close to the Sun looks the same. It's pretty much like Andrew Ryan's Rapture, where it seems like a haven for technology, but "something there has gone wrong" as well.

If anything, maybe I'm reading too much into it. So what if it's like Bioshock? The premise sounds pretty interesting and the visuals also look great. No release date has been set for this game yet, but we should get more info come 2019.
