New Batman v Superman Featurette Breaks Down Superman's Internal Struggles

The release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice looms closer by the minute, and each day fans are presented with more new images and videos exploring what the two iconic superheroes are all about.

Warner Bros.is showing no signs of slowing down with the release of promotional materials for the highly anticipated DC film. The studios has released a new clip featuring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Diane Lane, and director Zack Snyder describing the events and Superman’s take on justice which led to the Kryptonian’s battle with Batman.

Naturally, there will be opposing opinions between Batman and Superman that will lead to the “greatest gladiator match in the history of the world.” In this case, it’s their own definitions of justice. While Cavill says Superman's brand of justice is carried out "in an ethical manner," Batman’s take on justice is to "inflict justice at any cost.”

Interestingly though, Superman seems to disregard the disastrous “reaction” (as Snyder calls it) to his actions in Man of Steel after he thoughtlessly fought Zod and other villains to “save mankind.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Plot:

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day saviour, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Laurence Fishburne, and Holly Hunter, among others.

The movie hits theaters on Friday, March 25. Early showings start Thursday at 6 p.m.
