New Avengers: Infinity War Fan Art Updates Iconic Shawarma Scene

The first Avengers film certainly concluded at a hopeful and hilarious note as the exhausted heroes chomped down on shawarma in the post-credits sequence. The scene has been revisited following the events in Avengers: Infinity War and it reflects a more somber mood.

BossLogic posted the new fan art on their official Twitter account explaining that he's been planning to bring the Avengers back to the shawarma joint. The image shows the Infinity War survivors sitting together but nobody appears to be holding a shawarma. Check out the post below.

It's depressing to consider that there should have been more people joining the original Avengers since their first visit to Shawarma Palace. Although it is still uncertain whether Hawkeye actually survived Thanos' snap, the only relief we could get from the fan art is that Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, and the Hulk are still around. Nevertheless, the loss from Infinity War looms over everyone.

One of the most depressing parts of the fan art is Rocket playing with Groot's game. Also, we are unsure if Wong is still alive but we are hoping he's still out there protecting the Sanctums.

All of the characters featured in the fan art are expected to return in Avengers 4. It is still unclear how Scott Lang will manage to escape the Quantum Realm after the post-credits scene in Ant-Man and the Wasp. However, Paul Rudd has been spotted filming for the sequel so there is hope for Scott in the future.

The still-untitled Avengers 4 is scheduled for release on May 3, 2019.
