A multi-media release is certainly a welcome yet ambitious move for the franchise. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to more updates on Amanda Ripley. For now, it is safe to assume that the teaser is pointing toward a new game that could be released this year.

Although 2019 is set to be her daughter's big year, Ellen Ripley recently made news, thanks to an alternate ending of The Predator. It was revealed that the film was supposed to feature Ripley wearing the transformative "Predator Killer" suit instead of the suit being handed over to the humans. However, the ending may have been scrapped considering that The Predator takes place in the present while Alien took place in the year 2122.

What do you think of the Amanda Ripley teaser? Could it be a new game in the Alien franchise? Sound off in the comments below.
