Netflix's You is based on the best-selling novels by Caroline Kepnes. The first season was released in 2018, and it adapted the events of Kepnes' first novel, You; the second season debuted in December 2019, and it adapted the events of her second novel, Hidden Bodies. The series recently added Scott Speedsman to its cast, and Netflix said that he will "play Matthew, a successful CEO, husband, and uncommunicative father. He's reserved, mysterious, and has a tendency to be withdrawn ... all of which masks a deep well of emotion underneath." We still don't know how Matthew will become part of Joe and Love's life. Expect Netflix to reveal more details about the show's third season soon.
