Netflix's The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has Already Started Filming Season 2

We may not be getting Stranger Things 3 this year, but Netflix is going to give us the first season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The show is slated for a premiere this weekend, and news has just come out that they've already started shooting the second season of the show.

Talking to Bloody Disgusting, star Kiernan Shipka explains:

"We went straight into the second season from the first and it's been really so exceptionally fun to film, especially given the fact that I feel like we're already in such a rhythm from coming out of the first season that to jump right into the second one was really, really fun and just a great opportunity to keep the momentum going."

Probably one thing we can surmise from this news is that Netflix was impressed with the first season of the show, and they are confident that it's going to be a hit with the audiences. With the second season already in production, we shouldn't be expecting a delay come next year.

With Riverdale being such a hit with audiences, I think Netflix wants to keep digging the mine for this type of re-imagining. Sabrina the Teenage Witch was originally envisioned as a comedy, but Chilling Adventures looks to be throwing satire out the window and embracing it's horror roots.

I'm not the biggest fan of Riverdale to be honest, but the previews for Sabrina have actually piqued my interest enough to give it a try.

Catch The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina when it debuts on Netflix Oct. 26.
