Netflix’s Hollywood Headquarters Evacuated Because Of An Active Shooter

It looks like Netflix is in trouble.

The Netflix headquarters in Hollywood has just been evacuated because of an active shooter. According to a report by KTLA-TV (via Deadline), no one can get in or out of the building. Word has it that this active shooter armed with a deadly weapon is currently the cause of the lockdown.

LAPD officer Tony Im said that the station received "second hand" information that an armed suspect was present at the Netflix headquarters. The company's employees have been instructed to "move to interior spaces" and away from the windows of the building.

Luckily, new updates from other sources say that suspect has finally been lifted and that the lockdown on the Netflix headquarters has finally been lifted. Though police have yet to make an official statement on the affair, Fox News writer Jessica Rosenthal says that no one at the company had a gun. It was only a former Netflix employee who told someone that he had a gun. That individual then immediately contacted the LAPD.

"No one was at or near Netflix with a gun.. the person who made the threat was arrested off-site," Rosenthal wrote on her post.

Since the ordeal, Netflix has sent out a statement to its employees saying that there is no immediate danger or threat at the moment.

"We received a tip about a potential law enforcement incident. Police are conducting a sweep of the lot out of an abundance of caution. There is no immediate danger or threat to our employees. Feel free to share this information with your loved ones."

We'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
