Netflix Reveals First Teaser of Mark Ruffalo and Ryan Reynolds in a New Sci-fi Adventure The Adam Project

The Adam Project was one of the 2022 film lineups revealed last February 3, 2022. The list features upcoming projects like The Gray Man, The Mother, and Knives Out 2. The Adam Project features Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldaña, and Jennifer Garner in the new Sci-fi adventure film.

The plot of the film is revealed by Netlfix as a time-traveling pilot (Ryan Reynolds) teams up with his younger self (Walker Scobell) and his late father (Mark Ruffalo) as they solve issues from their past and also save the future.

The director of the film, Shawn Levy dropped some details on an interview with /Film, the film’s tech-based premise got him reminiscing about his past projects. He hinted at the tone of the film with "It's actually more similar to Real Steel than it is to Free Guy. It's a sci-fi premise for a very emotional character story. Once again, exploring themes of fathers and sons."

Levy also discussed that though it is a Ryan Reynolds film, it would also go into emotional terrirtory.

"It's Ryan Reynolds coming back to enlist the help of his 12-year-old self and his father who he lost when he was young. So what if you could go back and tell your younger self you're going to be okay? What if you could go back and understand your mom or your dad from the age that you are now? Those are the really interesting questions that [The] Adam Project explores, but with time travel and some sick-ass tech and big action."

Reynolds shared a video clip on his Youtube account and introduced his co-star, Walker Scobell, who plays a young version of him. The video goes by Scobell reading Reynold’s Deadpool 2 monologue, which isn't very child-friendly.
