Takeshi Kovacs will be back in Altered Carbon Season 2 but don't expect him to look the same.
Netflix has renewed the cyberpunk series based on the science fiction novels by Richard K. Morgan for Season 2, and according to Variety,Avengers: Infinity War star Anthony Mackie will play the lead role, Takeshi Kovacs, who was previously played by Joel Kinnaman in Season 1. The change of the show's main character isn't a big surprise since the show is set in a futuristic world where the human mind has been digitized and a person can transfer their consciousness from one body to another.
Laeta Kalogridis will return as executive producer and showrunner, and Alison Schapker will also join the series as an executive producer and co-showrunner.
Anthony Mackie, known for playing Falcon in the Marvel films, also starred in memorable films like 8 Mile, Million Dollar Baby, Hurt Locker, and All the Way.
