Netflix Has Deleted The Review System On Site Because Of Declining Use

It looks like Netflix is making various changes to its streaming service site. Not only is the company adding in commercials it says aren't really commercials because they can be skipped out by users, but Netflix has also decided to remove all of the user reviews from the site.

According to a new update on Netflix's help center page, the streaming site's users can no longer post their reviews on Netflix because they've been taken out of the site. Apparently, they were no longer being used by subscribers as time went along – well, mostly because the reviews could only be seen when a user used the web version of the site.

While this might be a bit of concern to users, subscribers have no longer been leaving reviews on Netflix and have mostly depended on the site's "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" rating system which seems to be a much more streamlined version of showing what users think of a movie or a series.

The removal of the review system on Netflix was announced last month, however it didn't really take effect until last Friday.

Now, users are going to have to rely on Netflix's "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" system of the site – a system that can also be used to helps avoid "review bombing" and user sabotage.
