Netflix Finally Releases the Long-Awaited Trailer for Black Mirror Season 6

Netflix has released the long-awaited first trailer for the upcoming sixth season of Black Mirror. They also revealed that the new season will premiere on the streamer this June and teased that it will be the show's "most unpredictable season yet."

The preview gave us our first look at the different episodes that they will feature during the season. While they didn't lay out the stories and themes that they will explore, the trailer does suggest that it will once again explore various science-fiction concepts and commentary on current social issues.

"I’ve always felt that Black Mirror should feature stories that are entirely distinct from one another, and keep surprising people — and myself — or else what’s the point?," creator Charlie Brooker told Tudum about the new season.

"It should be a series that can’t be easily defined, and can keep reinventing itself."

Brooker also pointed out how each episode of the new season won't be something that you will expect which is the whole point of the new batch of episodes that they will unveil to the worldwide audience.

"Partly as a challenge, and partly to keep things fresh for both me and the viewer, I began this season by deliberately upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect," he continued.

"Consequently, this time, alongside some of the more familiar Black Mirror tropes we’ve also got a few new elements, including some I’ve previously sworn blind the show would never do, to stretch the parameters of what ‘a Black Mirror episode’ even is.

The creator also teased, "The stories are all still tonally Black Mirror through-and-through — but with some crazy swings and more variety than ever before."

The star-studded cast members of the sixth season include Aaron Paul, Anjana Vasan, Annie Murphy, Ben Barnes, Danny Ramirez, Himesh Patel, John Hannah, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Michael Cera, Myha’la Herrold, Paapa Essiedu, Rob Delaney, Rory Culkin, Salma Hayek Pinault, Zazie Beetz, and many more.
