Netflix Confirms Lucifer Season 5 For 6 More Episodes

It looks like Netflix knows exactly what fans desire. The streaming giant has just confirmed Lucifer Season 5 for six more episodes. This would mean that the final season would be a total of 16 episodes.

The good news was announced by Netflix on Twitter. Take a look at the tweet below.

Interestingly, fans had previously begged Netflix for at least three more episodes to be added to Lucifer Season 5. Luckily, it looks like the streaming service is happy to please viewers by giving the show an additional six episodes so give the final season a proper send-off.

It is still unclear what will happen in Lucifer Season 5. Nevertheless, fans are already expecting Tom Ellis' Lucifer Morningstar to get a happy ending with his beloved Chloe Decker (Lauren German).

In the fourth season, Chloe finally accepted Lucifer, including his monstrous side. Lucifer, in turn, realized that the prophecy was referring to Chloe as being his one true love. The season finale Who's da New King of Hell? concluded with the two sharing a kiss as Lucifer regains his angel wings. He then returns to Hell to contain the demons.

A total of 16 episodes is still relatively short considering that the series was previously given 26 episodes for the third season. Nevertheless, this should be enough to give the show the proper ending it deserves.

Lucifer Season 5 has not yet been given an official release date. However, the final season is expected to air on Netflix by late 2019 or early 2020.
