Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender recently started filming in Canada, and fans are excited to see how the live-action adaptation will live up to the original Nickelodeon animated series. With production finally underway, fans are looking forward to get their first look at the Netflix series, and now, a new cast photo has teased how Aang will appear in the show.

Actor Gordon Cormier, who plays the protagonist Aang in the Netflix series, shared a photo of himself with co-star Ian Ousley, who will play Sokka. As shown below, Cormier already has the iconic shaven look of his character, and fans are paying attention to his hairline.

The 12-year-old actor known for his role in The Stand (2020) and Lost in Space (2018) is ready to take on the role of one of the most iconic characters in American animation history. The rest of the cast are also busy as the production has already started earlier this month, with Netflix releasing a cast photo to give us a first look at the whole cast.

Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Kim's Convenience), who will play Uncle Iroh in the show, recently shared an emotional video clip of him talking about the cast of the series. "There's gonna be an incredible amount of heart, and fun, and excitement to this series and I think the fans are gonna love it, he fans and people who have never seen it before. I've got a really good feeling about this," Lee said.
