Neil deGrasse Tyson Calls Out Frozen II for Having the Wrong Kind of Snow

Celebrity scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson is known for his interesting hot takes, and from time to time he will have something to say about science in movies. Just in, he put up this post talking about the wrong type of snowflake from the Frozen II poster.

Check this out:

While Tyson thought it was probably just a fun jab at an animated movie, a lot of people online were suddenly bombarding him with posts about how ‘nobody cares' and that ‘it's just a cartoon'. If anything, I just see it as a joke that he thought was clever which some people are taking way too seriously.

This isn't the first time that Tyson has gotten peeved at by some fans online. Back when Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out, Tyson had said that it was impossible for BB-8 to move in the sand because his surface would make him slip, but everyone started pointing out that the droid was a practical prop and started firing back at him. Instead of "apologizing", Tyson just went about his business making fun of pop-culture things because getting into frivolous debates with fans is probably a waste of time for a professional science communicator.

Either way, the comments are blowing up on the tweets, but it's probably best if you just don't take any pop-culture posts by Tyson too seriously; even he doesn't.

For now, fans wait for the release of Frozen II which hits theaters Nov. 22.
