Neat Shaun of the Dead Easter Egg Spotted in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is being hyped up to be the best animated movie of the year, and what comic book movie would it be if it wasn't filled with easter eggs here and there? Just in Baby Driver director Edgar Wright shared this neat Easter Egg in the movie which calls back to his cult classic Shaun of the Dead.

Since the first trailer, it's been shown that Miles Morales' universe is ‘just like ours' but is different in many other ways. It's pretty neat that they could come up with alternate versions of films; I'm guessing this won't be the only one in the movie as well.

Though a lot of praise has gone to The Incredibles II and Ralph Breaks the Internet, Into the Spider-Verse is coming out number one on every critic's list of top animated films this year. Not only are people saying it's a good animated film, but it's a good Spider-Man movie as well. It's good for Sony too, because, after the critical bomb that was Venom, it's good to know that the studio is still doing something good with their Spider-Man IP.

Bitten by a radioactive spider in the subway, Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales suddenly develops mysterious powers that transform him into the one and only Spider-Man. When he meets Peter Parker, he soon realizes that there are many others who share his special, high-flying talents. Miles must now use his newfound skills to battle the evil Kingpin, a hulking madman who can open portals to other universes and pull different versions of Spider-Man into our world.

Catch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in theaters Dec. 14.
