The release date for Black Widow has been delayed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic but that doesn't stop fans from getting excited for the Scarlett Johansson feature. New images from the film have been going around the web featuring the titular character along with Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova.
The photos were shared by BlackWidow_Film on Twitter which shows the pair on a motorcycle, with Yelena carrying a bag, indicating that they are on the run from someone offscreen. This still is seemingly from the bike chase sequence briefly shown in the trailer dropped at the Super Bowl. You can check it out below:
There's not much takeaway from this photo but this will have to make do for the fans who have been patiently waiting for the movie to drop. Unfortunately, given the growing pandemic, the release date is pushed back along with other films such as Mulan, A Quiet Place II, and No Time to Die. Some are hoping for the movie to be available early on digital, but for now, its release date is yet to be announced.
Johansson mentioned in a previous interview that she went to "those uncomfortable places" and got to explore Black Widow's "certain recesses." Director Cate Shortland says she wanted to give the character justice and wants fans to "understand" Natasha and "feel empathy for her." "We wanted to get under her skin," Shortland added.
Joining Johansson and Pugh in Black Widow are David Harbour as the Red Guardian and Rachel Weisz as Melina.
