My Liberation Notes will soon tell the story of three siblings and a stranger who will change their life.

JTBC confirmed this year that My Liberation Notes, which was previously translated as My Liberation Diary, would occupy the time slot Forecasting Love and Weather currently has.

It will feature Lee Min Ki’s Yeom Chang Hee, the middle child of the three siblings who thinks his life does not have a meaning. His siblings, Kim Ji Won’s Yeom Mi Jung and Lee El’s Yeom Ki Jung, have contradicting attitudes.

Yeom Mi Jung is an introverted person who feels unfulfilled in her life, while Yeom Ki Jung is a hot-tempered woman eager to find love.

The trio then meets Son Seok Gu’s Mr. Goo, a mysterious man who suddenly relocates in Sanpo Village.

Ahead of its release next month, the main cast members further discussed the details about their characters and what fans should expect from them.

My Liberation Notes Cast Members Appear on Elle

Kim Ji Won, Lee Min Ki, and Lee El recently appeared in a photoshoot for Elle, where they shared more details about their characters’ lives in the series before and after meeting the mysterious outsider played by Son Seok Gu.

According to Lee Min Ki, My Liberation Notes is a drama with a script. But after working on it, he started seeing it as a documentary as he tried hard to look like his character.

Meanwhile, Kim Ji Won said that his character Yeom Mi Jung is like a chick trying to break the shell that surrounds her due to her monochrome life. Meanwhile, Lee El noted that her character showed a realistic nature that most people possess.

“I wanted to play a role in stories that always seem to be around us that would scratch the itchy parts of the viewers or say what’s on their mind on behalf of them. On that note, I read the script of ‘My Liberation Notes,’ and as soon as I read the first page, I really wanted to do try it,” she said.

More Details About My Liberation Notes

Aside from the cast members, the drama already confirmed several details about the flick.

My Liberation Notes Episode 1 will reportedly arrive on Netflix on April 9. From there, the Korean series would release new episodes every Saturday and Sunday until its expected finale on May 29.

The K-drama will have 16 total episodes that will run for 60 minutes each.
