With the Winter 24 season inching ever closer, one of the season’s anticipated titles got a new trailer. Recently, My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered just got a new trailer that revealed more new cast members.
This upcoming anime is, as you may have guessed from its title, another isekai.
Its story promises to put an interesting twist on the typical formula though, as it’s not only the protagonist that gets transported into a new world.
My Instant Death Ability Reveals More Voice Cast Members
Officially titled My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me!, this new anime is made by studio Okuruto Noboru.
This studio is known for titles like The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter and some episodes of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Ω. Thus, Instant Death isn’t the studio’s first isekai and fantasy series.
The upcoming anime was revealed back in December 2022. Since then, the anime has unveiled some details, including its main cast members.
The main character, Yogiri, will be voiced by Koki Uchiyama, the VA of Izumi in Horimiya. Alongside Uchiyama is Miyu Tomita (Miko Iino in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) who voices Tomochika.
Recently, four new cast members were revealed. These include:
- Rina Sato (Shura Kirigakure in Blue Exorcist) as Sage Lain
- Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma in Demon Slayer) as Daimon Hanakawa
- Yoshiki Murakami (Haruhiko Beppu in Cute High Earth Defense Club) as Yuuki Tachibana
- Lynn (Miorine Rembran in Gundam: Witch from Mercury) as Asaka Takatou

My Instant Death Ability Anime Gets New Trailer Ahead of January Release
The show’s title already gives fans a good idea of what to expect. In the series, a school bus full of kids gets transported into a fantasy world.
One of the students inside is Yogiri Takatou, who is seemingly unbothered by what happened. That’s because he has an incredibly overpowered ability that can make short work of pretty much anyone and anything.

The My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered anime is set to be released in January 2024. For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release date.
Its streaming release partner outside of Japan has also not been confirmed yet. Fans can expect an announcement to come in the weeks leading up to its release.
