Fans may need to wait a while before the new season arrives, but they’ll at least be treated to a special event next month. My Hero Academia recently announced that a Special Film Concert is happening this November.
This upcoming event was highlighted with a special visual featuring the show’s main characters in fancy suits perfect for a concert night.
Despite the “film” in its title, this will be a live concert event where the anime’s composer will lead special performances of the anime’s tracks.
My Hero Academia Is Also Getting an Anime Special Ahead of the Concert
Following the end of Season 6 earlier this year, it was confirmed that My Hero Academia will get a seventh season. Along with the next season, a fourth anime movie was also confirmed to be in the works.
Given that only a teaser visual was shared, fans will likely need to wait until later in 2024 at the earliest. After all, it will take some time before the new season gets produced.
To give fans something to look forward to in the meantime, a My Hero Academia special episode will get a cinema screening in Japan beginning this Friday, October 20.
This special episode will be set before the Endeavor Internship arc. It will follow Mirio Togata as he visits Class 1-A as they’re stuck at the U.A. dorm.
Following the limited cinema run, the episode will be released on Crunchyroll for fans in the US to enjoy. There’s no word yet on a specific streaming release date though.
Shortly after this new episode, fans in Japan will be treated to another event. This time, it will be a live concert.

My Hero Academia Special Film Concert to Be Released in November
The My Hero Academia Special Film Concert will feature a live orchestra performance of the anime’s popular tracks. During the concert, scenes from the anime will also be played.
Fans in attendance will also be treated to appearances from the show’s voice cast. These include Daiki Yamashita (Deku) and Nobuhiko Okamoto (Bakugo).
To hype up the event, a special visual was released, featuring Ochaco, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki in fancy suits.
The live concert will happen on November 23, 2023, at the Arena Tachikawa Tachihi in Tachikawa, Tokyo.
There’s no word on other show dates. Considering that anime concerts often get home video releases (as is the case with Bocchi the Rock!), it’s possible that there will be a Blu-ray release for this in the future.
