2024 was already shaping up to be a big year for My Hero Academia fans. Soon, it’s about to be even better as My Hero Academia is getting a collab with the popular mobile game Granblue Fantasy.

This collab features select characters from the anime who make their way into the game. As of now, the complete details of the collab haven’t been revealed yet, but fans should get word on everything to expect soon.

For now, though, two popular characters from the series are confirmed to arrive as playable characters.

My Hero Academia fans are going to be spoiled this year. Aside from the manga, which continues its epic final arc, the anime is also getting another season in 2024.

On top of this, the franchise’s fourth anime film is also confirmed to be released this year. It’s an exciting project as series creator Kohei Horikoshi is once again involved with its story.

If these anime projects aren’t enough, a new collab with Granblue Fantasy will go live this month. The collab isn’t just for cosmetic items as two characters will make their way to the roster.

As expected, the first character that will appear is Deku, the series’ dorky yet ever-lovable protagonist. Joining him is Bakugo, another character who is arguably among the most famous of the series.

These two are the only confirmed playable characters for now, but we’ll have to wait for more info. That's not all that's revealed so far though, as another popular My Hero Academia star will make a special appearance.

As part of the collab, Granblue Fantasy will add the former #1 hero All Might, albeit as a summon instead of a playable character.

It’s not clear yet what abilities the All Might summon will have. Based on the visual for him shared on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, this summon will likely feature All Might’s signature smash moves.

The My Hero Academia and Granblue Fantasy collab will go live in Japan beginning January 12, 2024. As its release is quite close, more info will likely be shared in the coming week or so.

As for the upcoming anime projects, both the seventh season and the movie have release windows that fans can already mark on their calendars.
