The latest episode featured a lot of action along with an equal amount of heartbreak as My Hero Academia fans mourned the death of a major character in Season 6 Episode 3.

Given that the season follows the major battle between the Pro Heroes and Villains, it should come as no surprise that there will be characters that won’t make it to the end.

One of those is a surprise fan favorite that was fleshed out in the previous season.

In the first episode, a confrontation between Hawks and Twice was foreshadowed as it was Twice who offhandedly revealed key information about the Paranormal Liberation Front to the Pro Hero.

Twice finds out that this information he accidentally leaked was the reason the Pro Heroes were able to mount an attack on the Villains.

Twice finds this out as Hawks betrays the organization and reveals he was never on their side.

Instead of surrendering, Twice fights Hawks in a lengthy battle that also involved the villain Dabi.

In the end, Twice meets his demise, but not before saying goodbye to Himiko Toga and expressing how joining the League of Villains made him happy.

Following the episode’s release, the show’s official Twitter account revealed the results of the latest MVP vote.

In case you’re unfamiliar, viewers are polled on which character they believe is the MVP for each new episode.

As expected, Twice won the MVP award for Episode 3, with Hawks and Himiko Toga being the second and third places, respectively.

Fans React to Twice’s Death

Aside from winning the recent poll, many fans also expressed their sadness at Twice’s death.

Many praised how the episode handled his death and how emotional it made them feel, especially concerning Twice’s relationship with Himiko and Hawks.

Fans also spotted a touching easter egg at the end which features a heartbreaking scene of Twice and Himiko being inserted in the ending credits.

As the all-out war between heroes and villains rages on, expect to see even more big moments in My Hero Academia Season 6 as it continues with Episode 4 on Saturday.
