Here’s What Happened Before My Hero Academia Chapter 398
The title of My Hero Academia Chapter 397 is Taking Out the Trash, and it picks up where the previous chapter left off following Armored All Might’s debut.
The scuffle continues between All for One and Armored All Might, with the latter taking the upper hand. Armored All Might mocks All For One, berating him for his feebleness despite fighting at his peak age.
All Might adds that All For One has fallen victim to the overwhelming hatred he cultivated just to steal One For All. And taking advantage of that is what gives All Might a chance to win the fight.
What’s more, All Might insults All For One’s moniker, "Demon Lord", saying that it is the funniest joke he has ever heard. He also thinks that a quirkless man can take All For One head-on.
But deep inside, All Might is only trying to keep All For One distracted to prevent him from leaving.
That’s when All For One randomly combines a number of quirks like springlike limbs, physical boost, air cannon, rivet stab, dark ball, and light dust to fire a massive blast against All Might’s continuous barrage of attacks.
Fortunately, All Might was able to defend himself by activating the Utility Cape Autoguard Dark Shadow ability of his armor.
Despite this, All Might is satisfied knowing that all of his taunting is working on All For One. But he still needs to keep it up in order to fan the flames of his rage.
Hercules reports that All Might’s cape has been damaged, while the collarbone and left wrist were also pulverized by All For One’s attack. All Might activates maximum motion assist to take care of it temporarily.
It’s All For One’s time to run his mouth, ridiculing All Might in the process. He calls his rival a worthless piece of trash, wearing some kind of worthless tool that cannot surpass a person with a quirk.
He also warns All Might that as soon as he can destroy it, he will be dead and gone.
All Might agrees, saying that both of them think alike. He also recalls the time when Nana Shimura asked him about his plan to take villains down with a single pipe.
Before the chapter ends, All Might and All For One continue to fight each other, throwing insults one after another.
All For One insists that he didn’t fall for All Might’s plan and that his victory is assured.
All For One also believes that he has plenty of time to take out the trash that is All Might, in contrast to the latter, who asks the former to stop making excuses because he is embarrassing him.
