Now that My Dearest Part 2 has come out, avid fans will finally get to know what happens with the main characters. After a sad finale in the first part of the Kdrama, the show's viewers want to know: will Jang-hyun and Gil-chae get back together this time around?
If you are wondering the same thing, you're not alone. There are plenty of other fans of the show who are looking forward to their reunion. And with episodes 15 and 16, we finally get our answer.
What Happened to the Couple in My Dearest Part 1?
The ending of My Dearest Part 1 shocked viewers when Gil-chae (played by Ahn Eun-jin) proceeded with her engagement with Officer Gu Won-moo (played by Ji Seung-hyun).
Many were left disappointed since they were hoping Jang-hyuk (played by Namkoong Min) to end up together. Thankfully, Gil-chae did not end up marrying Officer Gu.
When the show ended, many were skeptical about Eun-jin's return to My Dearest Part 2. But as Namgoong Min shared, the actress would return to complete the show.
True enough, when My Dearest Part 2 came out, fans were pleased to find Eun-jin still in the series. And now, their fans are hoping the show will end on a positive note.

Will Jang-hyun and Gil-chae Get Back Together in My Dearest Part 2?
It seems like MBC has given the show's fans something to look forward to on Instagram ahead of the release of episodes 15 and 16.
The episode trailer of My Dearest Part 2's episodes 15 and 16 showed Jang-hyun and Gil-chae holding hands.
There are a total of three photos released by MBC Drama. The first photo shows an injured Jang-hyun lying on a bed and appearing to be smiling with his eyes closed.
Meanwhile, the second photo shows Gil-chae opening a wooden door and quietly peeking into it.
And finally, the third photo shows nothing but the pair's hands intertwined.
This is a much-awaited reunion between the two since they separated at the end of part 1.
Last week's episode already detailed how they were able to find their way to each other at Simyang. Jang-hyun managed to save Gil-chae as she was being sold in the market as a slave.
This is also how the protagonist got injured.
Now that the two are finally reunited, we're hoping that nothing will separate them apart again.
