MTG Hall of Famer Reveals Percentage of Banned Cards in The Past 12 Months 'Out of All Cards Banned in Standard'

Earlier today, Wizards of the Coast has announced its latest Magic: The Gathering ban and restricted update. The three cards they banned in Standard were Omnath, Locus of Creation, Lucky Clover, and Escape to the Wilds. This continues the trend of cards being banned in Standard over the past year, and now a Magic: The Gathering Hall of Famer has done the math to let us know the percentage of banned cards in the past twelve months out of the cards banned in Standard in the past 12 months.

Acording to Frank Karsten, out of all cards banned in Standard over the past 15 years, 56% were banned in the past 12 months. Since 2019, they banned the following cards in Standard:

Growth Spiral
Wilderness Reclamation
Teferi, Time Raveler
Field of the Dead
Veil of Summer
Agent of Treachery
Oko, Thief of Crowns
Once Upon a Time
Fires of invention
Cauldron Familiar
Lucky Clover
Escape to the Wilds
Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath
Omnath, Locus of Creation

That's a lot of cards banned in the past 12 months, and that's depressing because it ruins the experience of Standard play for a lot of players, so I hope WotC won't have to ban any cards in Standard in the upcoming months.
