Ms. Marvel Rumored to be a Skrull Connected to Captain Marvel 2

There might be a whole lot of excitement building up over Marvel's Ms. Marvel series, however, there have been very few details about the project circulating online.

Now, a new rumor suggests that Ms. Marvel may end up being a Skrull or a member of a Kree sleeper cell hiding on Earth. For the past few months, there have been various theories circulating online suggesting that Captain Marvel 2 might feature elements from Marvel's Secret Invasion. A new post by YouTuber Grace Randolph says that this rumor is true and that the Secret Invasion in the Captain Marvel sequel would connect to the Ms. Marvel series that Marvel is preparing for Disney+.

While Kamala Khan's comic book origin explains that the hero has Inhuman genes inside her, this new rumor suggests that Ms. Marvel's origin could be tweaked when she makes her way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While fans ought to take the report with a grain of salt, it makes sense that Marvel turn Kamala Khan into a Skrull. After all, Marvel has yet to introduce the Inhumans into the MCU. Skrulls have been introduced though, and in the comics, Super Skrulls have powers like Kamala Khans.

"Right now I do feel very comfortable wagering, this is a theory on my part, that Kamala Khan might be a Skrull or a Kree in hiding here on Earth, and that alien origin explains her powers," Randolph explained the rumor in her latest post, "There's probably something else in the mix, but I do bet she is Skrull or Kree. That's why her Disney Plus show would lead into Secret Invasion as a Captain Marvel 2 movie. That's not 100% confirmed yet, but that's really what they are working towards. It's what makes the most sense. And speaking of making sense, it would be a much stronger link with Carol Danvers if Ms. Marvel was a Skrull or Kree than the Inhuman situation because that has nothing to do with Carol Danvers."

It's an interesting thought. Of course, fans may not agree to have Ms. Marvel turned into a Skrull. Kamala Khan is a fan-favorite hero – she deserves a proper origin story.
