Ms. Marvel Reviews Are Finally Out and They're Overwhelmingly Positive

Tomorrow (or tonight at midnight if you live on the west coast), we will finally get to watch the first episode of the highly-anticipated MCU series Ms. Marvel which will mark the introduction of Kamala Khan to the screen. The early reactions have been positive which hyped up fans' excitement about the series. Now, less than 24 hours before the first episode streams, the reviews are finally out and they're overwhelmingly positive.

Several critics and journalists online have posted their reviews for Ms. Marvel now that the embargo has been lifted and the responses have been positive across-the-board with only a handful of mixed or negative reactions (which will always be there in every art that gets released).

As of the time of the writing of this article, Ms. Marvel has an impressive 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on the 45 reviews that they gathered so far with only 2 of them marked as rotten or negative. Most of the reviews are praising Iman Vellani's performance, its charm and colorful tone, story, cultural representation, and its unique contribution to the MCU. However, they are only based on the first 2 episodes which were the ones that were available for them to watch in advance prior to airing.

It is great to see these positive reviews about the series as it assures us that it's going to deliver and satisfy MCU fans who have been excited to see it ever since they announced the project. Of course, it is all subjective and you might have a different response when you see the first 2 episodes. It is curious to see whether the audience reaction and viewership will hold up as well.

The series "introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero megafan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with superpowers, right?"
