Mortal Kombat Spin-off May Feature an All-Female Set of Characters

Mortal Kombat is a success for Warner Brothers. Despite being rated R, it still managed to bring in a good amount of box office returns to the studio. Moreover, it also has produced impressive streaming numbers for HBO Max.

Mortal Kombat has multiple well-known characters but some of the most famous include some female characters. With the success of the film, Geekosity is speculating that an all-female Mortal Kombat spin-off film might be in the works for the franchise. Due to the massive popularity of the film, fans are asking for more.

They are also eager to see more characters in the Mortal Kombat universe debut on the big screen. With this in mind, Warner Brothers are triumphant in scoring another franchise.

The most popular demand as of the moment is the film's sequel. Apparently, Warner Brothers are reportedly interested in having an all-female Mortal Kombat spin-off movie, which is also exciting for many fans.

Having a spin-off with some of the notable and famous female characters in the Mortal Kombat universe can be an interesting take as well. The film's director, Simon McQuoid, has stated that he wants to make female characters more prominent in the films.

Sonya Blade, one of the most popular female characters of the franchise will certainly get featured even more. If the spin-off pushes through, it could lead to some solo films for the characters. Aside from the all-female spin-offs, there are a lot of other plot details that the franchisee can focus on as the lore of Mortal Kombat is wide and rich with interesting details.
