More Marvel Films Confirmed For Filming: Deadpool 2, Gambit And X-Men Apocalypse Sequels Updated

Marvel's grand plan is in full motion even next year. However, fans may need to ride the high of Captain America: Civil War for a few more months. That's because the new updates for three planned Marvel films do not have a 2016 date on any of them.

First up is an update for Deadpool 2, which appears to still be standing next in line following The Wolverine 3. The film isn't shooting yet though, as it's planned to start filming come the beginning of 2017.

Another anticipated Marvel title featuring card manipulator Gambit hasn't started filming yet. According to Entertainment Weekly, Channing Tatum has already been signed to take the role of Gambit or Remy LeBeau, his normal alter ego.

As far as the shooting goes, writer and producer Simon Kinberg may be looking at either the beginning or spring of 2017 to start production and filming for the Gambit movie. Perhaps one good takeaway from Kinberg is the fact that script is already finished and one he touted to be "great."

X-Men fans may need to wait a while later. The script for the movie following X-Men Apocalypse may hit the scriptwriter's desk after Deadpool 2 and The Wolverine 3. While Kinberg did not reveal any of the roster members, he did name the director who is linked to the upcoming X-Men movie. Fault in our Stars director Josh Boone will be on the director's chair for that movie.
