Recently, Sony announced that they are moving the release date of Morbius to April 1 with many believing that it was due to the rising cases of the Omicron variant around the world. The news disappointed fans as they've been looking forward to seeing the film and the recent move was already its seventh delay.

However, there are some fans who see it as the opportunity for the film to add Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man and they are taking it to Twitter to campaign for the actor to be included in the film. Of course, this comes after his triumphant return in Spider-Man: No Way Home which reignited the fans' love for the actor's portrayal of our friendly neighbor.

Here are some of the tweets from fans:

Given that the trailer hinted that Spider-Man exists in the universe, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Garfield's Spider-Man will also be part of the film in some capacity. With the release date delay, it does give them time to possibly reshoot or add more scenes to whatever vision that Sony wants for the film and perhaps apply the feedback that they received from the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

We do also have to consider the possibility that the delay is simply just because of the current situation regarding the pandemic and they are locked in with the final cut that they have. The film was originally scheduled to be released almost two years and it is likely that they will stick with the original vision that they have from the beginning. Fans should prepare with the outcome when they see the film that Garfield might not show up.

Hopefully, the latest delay will be the last one for the film as fans have been looking forward to seeing it for a long time and there's now more interest in the film given the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
