There's no denying that expectations are extremely high for Marvel Studios' newest series Moon Knight and for the most part, the Marvel Cinematic Universe spinoff project delivered and is off to a pretty promising start. Sure, it may have had its fair share of critics but overall, fans are already invested and a lot of it has something to do with Oscar Isaac's brilliant performance as Steven Grant, one of Marc Spector's alter-egos.

Episode 1, titled "The Goldfish Problem" gives us a better look at Grant's seemingly ordinary life as a person who suffers from dissociative identity disorder and how he struggles with memories he thinks aren't his. Later in the episode, we find out that Arthur Harrow and his followers have been trying to track down Grant (or Spector) who possesses the Golden Scarab, an ancient Egyptian artifact.

Following the release of Moon Knight's debut episode, fans and critics quickly took to social media to rave about Isaac's performance. On Twitter, the actor is reaping praise for his magnificent take on the character. Check out some of the reactions below:

Episode 1 definitely started off with a bang unlike previous MCU shows that were clearly slow burners. Despite the action and excitement it delivered, it still had moments that will leave you scratching your heads but I think the next couple of episodes will give us some much-needed clarity as to what's actually been going on. Overall, Moon Knight is unlike any Marvel show that has come before it.

Moon Knight's first episode is already streaming exclusively on Disney+.
