Moon Knight: F. Murray Abraham Casts as the Voice Actor of Khonshu


One of the most anticipated TV shows this year is Moon Knight as it will feature the introduction of the titular mercenary played by Oscar Isaac in the MCU. While the exact plot details of the series are still under wraps, we do know that Marc Spector becomes the conduit of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu as teased in the trailers and spots that were released so far. Now, we know who will be the voice behind the Egyptian god.

According to IGN, Oscar-winning actor F. Murray Abraham has been cast as the voice of Khonshu in Moon Knight. His casting was discovered in one of the still images of the series on the Disney+ media site where the actor is credited as the voice of Khonshu. You can catch a glimpse of the character during the series' recent Super Bowl spot.

Abraham is an award-winning actor known for his roles in films such as Amadeus (in which won an Oscar), Scarface, Last Action Hero, Star Trek: Insurrection, Finding Forrester, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs, and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. He also had a recurring role in the hit series Homeland and is currently starring in the Apple TV+ comedy series Mythic Quest.

It is great to hear that Abraham is going to be the voice actor of Khonshu. As you can see in his resume, he is a terrific actor and has done some impressive voice acting works as well in his career. You can definitely imagine him as the voice of Khonshu as he can have a menacing tone and voice which might require when playing the role.

It is interesting to see if Abraham will simply just be a voice actor or if the characters will appear in a human-like form where he will get to play him physically. Either way, he is still a great casting choice and a lot of us are looking forward to hearing his voice as Khonshu and sharing scenes with Oscar Isaac.
