Out of the six members of MONSTA X, only half of them have renewed their contracts with their current agency, Starship Entertainment.

According to Starship Entertainment, the three MONSTA X members who have signed a new exclusive contract with them were Shownu, Kihyun, and Hyungwon.

The entertainment company said they promised to continue extending generous support to the three members who renewed their contracts based on trust.

MONSTA X Minhyuk, Joohoney, And I.M Still In Talks To Renew Contracts With Starship Entertainment

Now, with the news of Shownu, Kihyun, and Hyungwon renewing their contracts with the entertainment agency, fans of MONSTA X are asking the question of what will happen to Minhyuk, Joohoney, and I.M.

According to Starship Entertainment, the other three members are still discussing whether they will renew their contracts with the agency.

Unlike actors, idol singers usually renew their contracts as early as six months before the expiration.

It should also be noted that idol groups who have made their debut after signing a seven-year contract with their agency are fearful of the so-called “seven-year jinx.” This is because a few idol boy groups last seven years, and MONSTA X is now nearing their seventh year on May 14.
