MONSTA X is dealing with heartbreaking news after the boy group’s tour.

MONSTA X officially gifted their fans with its 11th EP, Shape of Love, in April. After dropping the project, it launched its 2022 MONSTA X No Limit US Tour and started performing in the US on May 21.

The tour ended on June 11, and they already visited Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City.

However, the members and the agency were struck with bad news about one of the security staff.

MONSTA X’s Security Team Member Passes Away

Multiple news outlets, including Korea JoongAng Daily, quoted Starship Entertainment’s press release about a member of the group’s security team.

On Tuesday, the agency said that a security staff passed away while they were in the US for MONSTA X’s world tour.

“A security company employee who was working with us has passed away during our business trip to the United States. We cannot hide our sorrow about the sudden unfortunate loss of someone who has worked with all their heart and soul,” the statement said.

Starship Entertainment assured the public that it did everything to prepare funeral procedures for the staff.

It did not disclose what exactly happened to the security staff, but the company asked everyone to refrain from spreading misinformation and rumors.

MONSTA X’s I.M Struggling With Anxiety

Amid the recent loss, MONSTA X members – especially I.M. – is reportedly struggling with anxiety.

In his message from their last show, the K-pop idol revealed that he has been dealing with health issues. Fortunately, MONBEBEs helped him to survive every day.

"At the beginning when I just started as a member of Monsta X and as an idol, we had a lot of goals like being rich and winning awards but honestly, now I really don't have any such goal. My goal is just being happy with you guys,” he said.

After their exhausting tour, MONSTA X and Starship Entertainment staff will take a break ahead of the group’s contract expiration.
