MONSTA X members Minhyuk and I.M are the third and fourth members diagnosed with COVID-19.

Following Hyungwon and Kihyun, there are now four out of five active members of MONSTA X are infected with the virus.

On March 31, Starship Entertainment announced that Minhyuk and I.M were confirmed positive for COVID-19 after conducting a rapid antigen test.

Thankfully, the two members are not experiencing any major symptoms other than a mild sore throat.

Minhyuk and I.M completed the third dose of their COVID-19 vaccination and are currently being treated at home in accordance with the health guidelines set by local authorities.

MONSTA X Minhyuk And I.M Halt All Activities After Testing Positive For COVID-19

Minhyuk and I.M completely suspended all their schedules and activities to avoid getting things worse and spreading the virus.

Here is the official statement released by Starship Entertainment regarding the health status of Minhyuk and I.M.

Hello. This is Starship Entertainment.
This notice is to inform everyone that our artists, MONSTA X Minhyuk and I.M, tested positive for COVID-19 today, March 31. They have preemptively conducted rapid antigen tests.
Minhyuk and I.M completed the third dose of their COVID-19 vaccination and are not experiencing any major symptoms other than mild sore throats. They halted all schedules and activities and are currently receiving treatment at home and in quarantine following the health guidelines set by the local authorities.
We will do our best to prioritize our artists’ health and safety. The initially scheduled activities will be adjusted and the updated timeline will be released through a separate announcement.
We will continue to thoroughly abide by the quarantine guidelines and do our best to support our artists’ fast recovery.

Fans Demand Starship Entertainment To Pay Attention To Their Artists’ Health

Following the worrying news that four out of five active members of MONSTA X have tested positive for COVID-19, fans have vocally expressed their disappointment to Starship Entertainment.

Under the official tweet announcing Minhyuk and I.M’s health status, several tweets demand that the agency should stop overworking the members.

MONSTA X previously released its 10th mini-album, No Limit, in November 2021 and was immediately followed by the 2nd English album, The Dreaming, on December 10, 2021.

MONSTA X also flew to the US for the Jingle Ball Tour, wherein the group performed in four cities from December 13 until December 19.

As soon as they returned to South Korea, each member continued to be so busy with their individual schedules.

In particular, Kihyun and I.M took back their seats as the hosts for Naver NOW’s Midnight Idol. At the same time, Hyungwon and Joohoney continued with their positions as DJs on Idol Radio Season 2.

Then, Kihyun released his solo debut single album Voyager on March 15, 2022, promoting the title track of the same name in music shows for more than two weeks.

MONSTA X Postpones Comeback

Meanwhile, MONSTA X was originally scheduled to release its 11th mini-album, SHAPE of LOVE, on April 11, 2022.

However, it was postponed in the aftermath of a series of confirmed cases by the members.

The new album will feature a total of six songs, including the title track, “Love,” which was produced by Joohoney. Hyungwon and I.M also contributed tracks to the album.

Furthermore, the new release date of SHAPE of LOVE has not been updated yet.
