MONSTA X Kihyun is reported to be diagnosed with COVID-19.

On March 30, Starship Entertainment announced that the main vocalist was confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 after conducting a rapid antigen test.

A day after Hyungwon tested positive for the virus, now Kihyun was the second MONSTA X member. Fans could not help but demand the entertainment agency to make sure their artists were not overworked and were having proper rest.

Recently, lots of celebrities and idol group members have tested positive and halted activities for the time being.

And MONSTA X is no exception, especially now that 2 out of five active members are diagnosed with COVID-19.

MONSTA X Kihyun Halts All Activities

Following the news of Kihyun testing positive for COVID-19, Starship Entertainment also released an update on the powerhouse vocalist's health condition.

Hello. This is Starship Entertainment.
Today, March 30, MONSTA X member Kihyun had symptoms of a sore throat, so he conducted a rapid antigen test. The results came that he is confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Kihyun has completed the third dose of his COVID-19 vaccination. He has suspended all schedules and activities and is currently being treated at home in accordance with the health guidelines set by local quarantine authorities.
The new and changed schedule of Kihyun will be released at a later date through a separate notice.
We will thoroughly comply with the quarantine guidelines and do our best to ensure that our artists are committed to fast recovery.

MONSTA X Postpones New Mini-Album Release

Last week, MONSTA X announced that they would be releasing a new mini-album on April 11 titled SHAPE of LOVE.

However, after releasing the tracklist, the news of Hyungwon testing positive for COVID-19 had worried fans, and just this afternoon, Kihyun also tested positive for the virus.

It is only proper to re-schedule the promotions as the health and safety of the MONSTA X members are more important.
